Qraffic: Dynamic QR codes
Qraffic is a dynamic QR code platform from Cuanto Labs. A printed code points to a short Qraffic link, so the destination can change without reprinting, while every scan is logged and can be routed by country, device or A/B split.
What Qraffic is
Qraffic issues QR codes that encode a short Qraffic link rather than the final page. The redirect sits in between, so the code on a menu, mailer, box or billboard never has to change when the page behind it does.
Each scan is logged with country, city, device, operating system and time.
Who uses it
Qraffic’s own copy addresses marketers, agencies and print shops: people whose menus, mailers and labels outlive the pages they point to.
How it works
The flow has four steps. A code is printed, someone scans it, Qraffic logs the scan and routes the visitor, and the report shows which placement, variant and city converted.
Routing can send everyone to one page, split scans between two pages for an A/B test, or choose by device and region: iPhones to the App Store, Android to Google Play, desktop to a web page, a Miami phone set to Spanish to a Spanish page. Codes can be minted in bulk from a CSV, managed by API and webhooks, and served from a custom domain.
Capabilities
- Editable destination: the printed code stays the same while the link behind it changes
- Scan analytics with country, city, device, operating system and time, filterable and exportable
- A/B testing that splits scans between two pages
- Geo and device routing, such as iPhones to the App Store and Miami to a Spanish page
- Bulk CSV generation, downloaded as a zip of SVG or PNG files
- API and webhooks for creating, updating and archiving codes and pushing scan events out
- Custom domains for the redirect
- A generator that needs no account to make a first code

Questions and answers
What makes a QR code dynamic?
It encodes a short redirect link, so the destination can be changed at any time without reprinting the code.
What does Qraffic record about a scan?
Country, city, device, operating system and time of each scan.
Can scans be split between two pages?
Yes. Any dynamic code can split traffic between two destinations for an A/B test.
How does geo and device targeting work?
Qraffic detects country, region and device type and routes by HTTP redirect, so no app is needed.
Can many codes be created at once?
Yes. A CSV of destinations and campaign names produces a unique code per row, downloaded as SVG or PNG files.
